New Zealand’s pristine waters means Westpac Mussels are able to grow and harvest the world’s best tasting and safest Greenshell™ Mussels.

We pride ourselves on international best practices, and adhere to the Aquaculture New Zealand Environmental Codes of Practice. 

The New Zealand marine farmers’ safe, sustainable and environmentally friendly practices have been recognised by the International Conservation Organisation Blue Ocean Insititute. This ranking of New Zealand's Greenshell™ Mussels places it as one of the top two ‘eco-friendly seafoods’ in the world.

Each of our Greenshell™ Mussel farms are approved, permitted and consented by a Regional Council under the requirements of the New Zealand Resource Management Act. This ensures that there is always a plan for the future of our environment in a sustainable way.

Sustainability is what we do at Westpac Mussels, it is not an added extra. We make sure that our practices are sustainable now and for generations to come.
